About efd 

Hi, I'm Elisabeth, more commonly known as Bizz.

I am the founder of efd and maker of bespoke curtains and blinds here in my studio in Little River, Banks Peninsula.

My sewing journey started in my teenage years where I was always making things to wear for myself and friends. This moved to making window coverings for our large country house we purchased in little River in the 90's. 

An overseas lifestyle in England in 2001 found me applying my Curtain Making skills where I  worked with an Interior Designer in a small country town. This eventually led to fully immersing myself in the Interior Design Industry, sourcing fabrics, blinds, soft furnishings, curtain tracks and rods, and installing...all while continuing to make window furnishings. 

Returning home to Little River in 2003, I started my own business, efd, where I continue to apply my skills in curtain and blind making, curtain installation, fabric sourcing and all things related to installing quality curtains and blinds in your home.

From time to time, and in between curtain making, I also get to create unique items for the efd studio. 

Working with fabulous fabric off-cuts and my treasured stash of re-claimed fabrics, I continue to create one-off items  such as bags, cushions and a range of other items.

When a number of items have been created, they will be available to purchase at the efd studio when notified here and on Facebook. Please also feel free to get in touch if  you see something here you would like to purchase.

For all curtain and blind enquiries, the efd studio is also open by appointment during the week.
